A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading industrial engineering business at their site in Kings Cross. The company has recently invested heavily in the facility, installing brand-new equipment and upgrading site infrastructure. Duties:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical plant and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across production machinery and site services
- Maintaining motors, drives, control panels, inverters, sensors, relays, switchgear, and associated electrical systems
- Conducting routine inspections, testing, and servicing to ensure maximum equipment reliability and performance
- Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Assisting with machinery installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems
- Supporting root cause analysis investigations and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Accurately completing maintenance records and reporting any recurring electrical issues
Requirements:
- Apprentice trained or electrically qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
- Experience working with motors, drives, control systems, PLCs, sensors, and industrial electrical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, develop, and progress
