We're currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join the on-site maintenance team at a high-end commercial office building near Cannon Street. This is a day shift position working for a well-established building services provider, offering a stable role on a modern, corporate site with a good mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance duties.

The successful engineer will take responsibility for both planned and reactive maintenance across the building, ensuring plant and equipment remain fully operational while maintaining high standards of service for the client and occupiers.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems throughout the building.
  • Fault finding on lighting, power, emergency lighting and low-voltage distribution systems.
  • Completing routine inspections of electrical plant and equipment.
  • Assisting with switching operations and electrical isolations where required.
  • Monitoring plant performance and responding to building faults.
  • Maintaining and inspecting AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and other mechanical plant.
  • Replacing filters, belts and carrying out general mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Working alongside specialist subcontractors and overseeing works on site.
  • Updating maintenance records and completing job reports through the CAFM system.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified electrically (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition qualified.
  • Previous experience within commercial building maintenance.
  • Comfortable carrying out basic mechanical maintenance alongside electrical duties.
  • Strong fault-finding ability and a practical approach to maintenance.
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with clients and contractors.
