Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Croydon Salary: £44,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team at a modern, high-spec commercial office site in Croydon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and HVAC experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and keeping building services operating safely, efficiently and reliably. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a modern commercial office environment Service, maintain and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated equipment Diagnose and repair faults involving valves, actuators, motors and other mechanical components Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance Respond to reactive maintenance issues and minimise equipment downtime Ensure mechanical and HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and facilities team Participate in the site call-out rota when requiredYou will ideally have: A recognised City & Guilds mechanical qualification or equivalent Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a commercial environment Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services Hands-on experience with FCUs and associated components Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills A proactive approach to problem-solving Strong communication and organisational skills The ability to work independently as well as part of a team A professional approach with a strong focus on health, safety and qualityWhat's on Offer? £44,000 basic salary Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Overtime opportunities Participation in a call-out rota Company pension Ongoing training and professional development Long-term career progression A friendly and collaborative working environment Opportunity to work within a high-quality commercial office environmentIf you're an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with excellent development opportunities, we'd be keen to hear from you
