Overview

Position: Mobile Gas Engineer

Location: Edinburgh

Type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on qualifications)

Working Hours: Mon-Fri – Overtime available. Vehicle supplied.

Responsibilities

  • Complete building services gas maintenance across commercial grade estates (both commercial and domestic boiler systems).
  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on boilers, heating, and associated systems.
  • Cover all maintenance of emergency systems and building services plant rooms.
  • Complete PPMs in line with SLA and KPI agreements.
  • Respond to helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service.
  • Work on AHUs, fan coils and general HVAC plant rooms where needed.
  • Perform compliance checks and small works projects.
  • Lead works, providing guidance to resident maintenance personnel, client managers and sub‑contractors.
  • Advise on compliance and scheduling of checks, and maintain visibility of compliance records.

Qualifications & Background

  • Recognised professional engineering qualification.
  • Commercial (and Domestic) ACS coded.
  • Multiskilled background – experience on general HVAC plant including AHUs, fan coils, etc.
  • Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environment.
  • Ideally general mechanical engineering skills.
  • Presentable, articulate, with a sound understanding of compliance and PPM paperwork and records.
  • Ability to clear a security check.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to operate on a mobile basis.
  • Familiarity with the Facilities Management sector.
