We’re looking for a Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer to join a forward-thinking Engineering & Design Consultancy working on some of the UK’s most recognisable commercial, residential and mixed-use assets.

You’ll advise institutional landlords, global investors, managing agents, developers and occupiers, helping them make informed, low-risk, future-proof decisions about their lift and escalator portfolios.

Who You’ll Work With:

  • Prime City & West End commercial offices
  • Landmark mixed-use and residential towers
  • Large-scale estate portfolios
  • High-profile retail and destination assets
  • Complex, multi-asset property portfolios owned by FTSE-listed and global investors

You’ll work directly with Property Managers, Facilities teams, Surveyors, Project Managers and Building Consultants, influencing decisions at both asset and portfolio level.

About the role:

  • Delivering VT site surveys, audits and condition reports
  • Producing lifecycle and capital planning reports for lift and escalator assets
  • Acting as technical lead on VT replacement and modernisation projects
  • Advising on refurbishments, major works and development schemes
  • Managing consultants, contractors and OEMs
  • Providing trusted VT advice to internal teams and clients
  • Raising standards, reducing risk, and improving long-term asset performance

What our Customer is Looking For:

  • You’re not just technical — you’re commercial, confident, and credible.

Essential:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Lift & Escalator industry
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift & Escalator Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge across passenger lifts, goods lifts & escalators
  • Experience producing professional reports for clients
  • Comfortable operating in a client-facing consultancy environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
