Role Overview:
The Technical Supervisor will lead a team providing administrative, process improvement, and financial function support to senior technical business leaders. This role requires oversight of day-to-day operations, workload planning, and ensuring effective service delivery across multiple disciplines. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with business leaders, facilities managers, and external clients to anticipate and meet project demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between technical business leaders, facilities managers, and internal/external clients to forecast workload and deliverables.
- Plan, coordinate, schedule, and supervise the team’s daily activities, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Resolve conflicting priorities and ensure seamless service delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Apply advanced knowledge to develop innovative methods for achieving team and department objectives.
- Demonstrate expertise in own discipline while maintaining in-depth knowledge across other functional areas.
- Coach and develop team members to enhance their skills and technical expertise.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with the company’s core values.
- Influence senior stakeholders to adopt solutions and approaches that support operational goals.
- Contribute to the development of new processes, standards, and operational plans.
- Communicate complex ideas effectively, adapting messaging for diverse audiences.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Electrical or Mechanical City and Guild qualifications, with 5+ years of relevant experience; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Prior supervisory or shift leader experience preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate or banking environments strongly preferred.
- Physical capability to meet role requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to perform financial and mathematical calculations (percentages, fractions, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
- Innovative problem-solving ability with a track record of developing solutions that impact business operations.
