Main Purpo seThis role is responsible for monitoring and inspecting construction, mechanical, and electrical (M&E) projects across a large, complex estate to ensure work is delivered safely, to specification, on time, and to a high standard of quality. Projects typically range from £50k to £5m and must be delivered with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations and public activitie s. Key Responsibilit iesInspect and monitor M&E installation work on si te.Ensure contractors comply with project specifications, standards, and regulatio ns.Review designs and specifications during project planning stag es.Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality chec ks.Review contractor health and safety documentation (RAMS) and support audi ts.Record defects, snags, incidents, and progress repor ts.Liaise between contractors, project engineers, project managers, and internal stakeholde rs.Ensure accurate project records, as-built information, and O&M manuals are maintain ed.Support project meetings and provide technical feedba ck. Essential Requirem entsExperience as a Clerk of Works within construction, building infrastructure, or engineering proje cts.Good understanding of electrical and mechanical syst ems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schemat ics.Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent electrical/mechanical qualificati on).Knowledge of:UK Building Regulat ionsCDM 2015BS 7671 (18th Edit ion)Health & Safety legislation (HSAW, EWAR, COSHH, e tc.)Strong communication, reporting, and organisational ski lls.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneou sly.Comfortable working at height and in confined spa ces.
