The predicted salary is between 35100 - 42900 £ per year.

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to complete electrical PPM and reactive works on commercial and education estates across the Midlands. Permanent position paying circa £38 - £40,000 plus overtime. On-call with standby payment. Mon-Fri days 40 hours per week. Van and fuel card supplied, private healthcare (single cover).

Main duties:

  • Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance relating primarily to Mechanical Building Services Plant and Systems in-line with agreed programmes / SLAs in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
  • Maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of mechanical plant, working to current standards and the contract specification.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of domestic hot and cold-water services - L8 awareness (domestic water systems).
  • Submitting concise and accurate reports of work carried out and time spent on tasks.
  • Ownership of site logbooks and record keeping for your designated sites.
  • Providing details for further recommended works, including all the required information for office personnel to action.
  • Support the wider team with out of hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

The position is Monday to Friday. Call Out Rota is 1 in 8.

Skills & Background Required:

  • Recognised professional apprenticeship or equivalent Mechanical training.
  • City and Guilds qualification in Heating & Ventilation or Plumbing.
  • Experience of maintenance – PPM and reactive works.
  • Ideally to have good multi-skilled experience.
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Valid driving license.
