Restaurant Manager – Folkestone & Hythe District
Location: Folkestone & Hythe District, England, United Kingdom
Salary: £38,000.00 – £40,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Lead and motivate a team of staff, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve exceptional service standards.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the dining area and ensure tables are set up correctly, maintaining an inviting ambiance for guests.
- Assist in developing and implementing standard procedures to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
- Handle money and reconcile financials at end of day.
Qualifications
- 2 years of previous managerial experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a high‑end restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn the company’s culture and menu history.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: empathy and reason.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions without feeling overwhelmed.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
- Right to work in the UK.
