Role Summary & Purpose
With a focus on Commercial and Residential projects, the successful candidate will be working in high profile occupied buildings and will be expected to have an excellent working knowledge of different electrical installations. Uses a working knowledge of electrical systems including Wiring, Containment, fault‑finding on existing systems. Installs new electrical systems, including lighting and small power, to customer standards and to maintain those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations. This role will suit a client facing electrician with good technical skills. The individual must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; be a good team player and able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations.
- Undertake site surveys, either alone or with the clients to establish their requirements.
- Provide information from surveys to Contracts managers.
- Provide professional assessments to the Contracts managers and clients.
- Possess a working knowledge of lighting control systems such as Dali and Exor.
- Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391).
- Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
- Have a passion for producing good standards of work to ensure repeat business.
