The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider at a prestigious commercial office site in the heart of Mayfair. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer looking to advance their career within a professional and supportive environment.
Role Overview: As a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and high-quality maintenance of all mechanical systems on-site. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, your responsibilities will cover both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair tasks across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Attend and resolve emergency callouts in line with KPIs and SLAs
- Maintain all mechanical plant and equipment to high standards
- Carry out plumbing, pipework repairs, and minor fabric tasks as needed
- Manage tools, materials, and parts required for maintenance activities
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure work quality and compliance
- Support the Lead Engineer and Account Manager with statutory compliance
- Ensure maintenance schedules and operational targets are met
Requirements:
- Recognised City & Guilds Mechanical Qualification (or equivalent)
- Solid experience in mechanical building maintenance within commercial premises
- Prior experience in shift-based engineering roles
- Willingness to join a 1-in-4 call-out rota
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical know-how
