A leading Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced HVAP Electrical Shift Lead to take a key position at a large, high-profile banking site in the City of London. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead engineer on shift, overseeing all electrical operations
  • Operate as the site’s HV Authorised Person (HVAP), ensuring safe control of HV systems
  • Carry out and supervise planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
  • Manage and respond to critical incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Monitor and maintain HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and associated plant
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with safe systems of work and permit procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers on shift
  • Maintain accurate shift logs, reports, and compliance records
  • Liaise with management, clients, and subcontractors where required

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ / C&G Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Experience working within a shift environment
  • Excellent fault-finding and decision-making skills

  • Previous experience as a Shift Lead or Supervisor
  • Familiarity with BMS and control systems
