PRS Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Fabric Engineer to join a dedicated maintenance team at a prestigious commercial site near Stansted. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in general fabric maintenance and a passion for delivering high standards of work in a commercial environment.

You’ll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks, supporting the upkeep of a large blue-chip static office site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General fabric maintenance including painting, minor carpentry, tiling, and decorating
  • Touch-ups, hinge adjustments, blind installations/repairs, lock changes
  • Minor furniture repairs and equipment assembly (e.g. chairs, desks)
  • Office reconfigurations and furniture moves
  • Floor tile (carpet/ceramic) and ceiling tile replacements
  • Cleaning of ceiling grilles
  • Supporting other engineers on-site as needed
Requirements:
  • Relevant City & Guilds qualifications (e.g., Bricklaying, Plastering, Tiling, Painting & Decorating)
  • Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Broad knowledge of general fabric duties including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • Strong communication and excellent customer service skills
