We’re recruiting for a skilled and proactive professional to take ownership of a modern Banking site in Canary Wharf. This is a unique opportunity to run a site with real autonomy while still benefiting from strong support from an experienced Contract Manager and on-site personnel.
The Role
You’ll operate as the lead engineer on site, overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems. This is a balanced role, with an expected 50/50 split between hands-on work and administrative duties (subject to tenant occupancy).
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out Electrical & Mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance
- Managing and supervising subcontractors
- Overseeing compliance documentation, including logbooks and E-log systems
- Preparing and reviewing RAMS and issuing PTWs
- Ensuring site compliance and high service delivery standards
- Acting as the primary point of contact for engineering on site
What’s on Offer
- Salary: £55,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (No callout)
- Some overtime built into the contract
- Single-person site initially, with budget approved to grow the team if required
- Strong administrative support from an experienced Contract Manager
- Additional on-site support via tenant-employed handyman (Northern Trust)

- Electrically or mechanically qualified (ideally with multi-skilled experience)
- Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role
