An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading FM Service Provider at a prestigious banking contract located in the heart of the City of London. This is an excellent role for a skilled engineer looking to further develop their career in a dynamic environment.
As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of electrical services, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards. You will work alongside a dedicated maintenance team and be involved in both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the building.

Your Role:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, control panels, and power distribution
- Maintain and service generators, pumps, motors, seals, and bearings
- Conduct emergency lighting checks and minor electrical installations
- Support HVAC maintenance (Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units – filter changes, cleaning)
- Ensure the smooth operation of critical building services
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience in a commercial building environment
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
