Electrical Shift Engineer – Β£47,000

Location: Thurrock, Essex

Salary: Β£47,000 + Ample Overtime Opportunities

Hours: Continental Shifts – 6am–6pm & 6pm–6am

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider, servicing a high-profile Critical Environment in Thurrock, Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.

– Respond to emergency callouts and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.

– Work on electrical systems including lighting, wiring, alarms, BMS, and distribution.

– Carry out minor general building maintenance (e.g. drainage, sinks, tiling).

– Perform fault finding on systems such as AHUs, FCUs, UPS, Generators, LV systems.

– Operate and manage BMS controls (Head End preferred).

– Maintain and repair HVAC plant, VAV/VRV systems, and water treatment systems.

Requirements:

– City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or a related trade.

– Minimum 3 years’ experience in building services or facilities maintenance.

– Sound knowledge of building systems with strong fault-finding abilities.

– Positive attitude with a desire to grow and develop within the role.
