A well-established and respected Facilities Management company is looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a flagship commercial building. This is a permanent, full-time role ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and is confident delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs in a client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of electrical maintenance, including lighting, power, distribution boards, and control panels
- Complete regular PPM tasks in line with SFG20 schedules and maintain compliance documentation
- Respond to and resolve reactive issues and emergency faults quickly and safely
- Perform emergency lighting and fire alarm testing, inspection & testing, and small electrical installations
- Support minor mechanical and building fabric works when required
- Liaise with site staff and contractors while upholding high service standards
Candidate Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) – essential
- 2391 or equivalent Testing & Inspection (advantageous)
- Previous experience working in a commercial FM environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of an on-site team
