Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM on commercial and industrial boiler plant and associated heating systems
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete effective repairs
- Undertake fault-finding across gas, electrical, and mechanical components
- Complete boiler installations, commissioning, and decommissioning
- Carry out combustion analysis and ensure optimum system performance
- Complete gas safety inspections and maintain accurate certification records
- Identify and repair faults with pumps, valves, plate heat exchangers, flue systems, and control panels
- Provide detailed service reports, recommendations, and updates to clients
- Maintain high standards of health and safety in line with industry regulations
- Manage vehicle stock, tools, and equipment effectively
- Provide excellent customer service and professional technical advice
Qualifications
- Current Commercial Gas Safe qualifications, including:
- COCN1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety
- ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework
- CIGA1 – Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances
- CDGA1 – Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances
- TPCP1 / TPCP1A – Testing & Purging of Pipework
- CORT1 (desirable but not essential)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heating & Ventilation, Gas Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on commercial or industrial boiler systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Experience working across multiple boiler manufacturers
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
