About the Role: We are looking for an experienced National Account Manager with a strong background in managing and developing major retail or trade accounts within the DIY, building materials, or home improvement sector. This role will take ownership of key national customers and work closely with their head office teams to drive performance and deliver growth. Regular visits to Watford and Luton. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and grow relationships with key national accounts such as B&Q, Homebase, Screwfix, Travis Perkins, Wickes, Howdens, Buildbase, or similar * Act as the lead commercial contact for assigned accounts, building strong and lasting partnerships * Lead and deliver annual business plans, promotional strategies, and customer-specific initiatives * Prepare and present detailed reporting and forecasting on sales performance, margins, and promotional activity * Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, finance, operations) to ensure account needs are fully supported * Drive category growth by identifying opportunities aligned with market trends and customer needs * Conduct regular head office meetings and customer presentations at a senior level * Deliver clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders Key Requirements: * Proven experience as a National Account Manager within the DIY, trade, or home improvement channel * Background working with or supplying to customers such as B&Q, Screwfix, Homebase, Howdens, Wickes, Travis Perkins, Buildbase, or similar * Strong commercial mindset with experience managing large P&Ls and driving profitable growth * Confident in reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking to inform decision-making * Experience working with and presenting to senior-level buyers and head office functions * Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills * Organised, driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Desirable: * Product knowledge within tools, building materials, hardware, or similar categories * Experience managing both branded and own-label product strategies * Understanding of merchandising, logistics, and in-store execution What We Offer: * Competitive salary and bonus structure * Car allowance * Pension scheme * Private healthcare and other benefits * A collaborative, supportive environment with clear opportunities for growth Please apply now
