The Role

We’re recruiting for a hands-on, commercially focused Area Manager to oversee a group of company-owned forecourt sites in the Chester region. You’ll play a key role in driving performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting your Store Managers to deliver the best customer experience and commercial results. This is a field-based role that requires regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and profitability of your sites
  • Support, mentor, and motivate Store Managers and site teams
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and legal standards
  • Conduct regular site audits, fuel stock checks, and performance reviews
  • Manage pricing, stock levels, and promotional execution to maximise sales
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and profitability
  • Act as the key liaison between stores, head office, suppliers, and third parties
  • Resolve customer complaints and manage maintenance or supplier issues as needed
  • Stay up to date with competitor activity and industry developments
