The Role
We’re recruiting for a hands-on, commercially focused Area Manager to oversee a group of company-owned forecourt sites in the Chester region. You’ll play a key role in driving performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting your Store Managers to deliver the best customer experience and commercial results. This is a field-based role that requires regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and profitability of your sites
- Support, mentor, and motivate Store Managers and site teams
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and legal standards
- Conduct regular site audits, fuel stock checks, and performance reviews
- Manage pricing, stock levels, and promotional execution to maximise sales
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, service, and profitability
- Act as the key liaison between stores, head office, suppliers, and third parties
- Resolve customer complaints and manage maintenance or supplier issues as needed
- Stay up to date with competitor activity and industry developments
