Up to £45,000 + £2,000 AP Allowance

4 Days On / 4 Days Off (08:00 – 20:00)

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join a leading healthcare maintenance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer looking to develop their career within a critical healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical building services equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient running of a busy healthcare facility.

• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (Days Only)
• Call-out cover required for 1 shift every 4 weeks

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (minimum requirement)
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within commercial building services
• Experience working on HVAC, plumbing and associated mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a shift team
• Hospital or healthcare environment experience desirable but not essential

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems
• Maintain HVAC, heating, water and plumbing systems
• Complete fault finding, repairs and minor installation works
• Support compliance with healthcare engineering standards
• Participate in the call-out rota as required
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with statutory requirements
