We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join a major FM and estates contract operating within a critical environment. This is not a traditional hard FM delivery role. The successful candidate will work within an integrated service environment supporting the coordination, performance, and assurance of multiple FM contractors and suppliers across a large estate portfolio. The role would suit someone from an engineering, technical FM, building services, or maintenance background who understands contractor management, reactive works, compliance, and asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and performance of hard FM services across the estate
  • Act as a key link between contractors, suppliers, and client-side FM teams
  • Oversee reactive works and ensure contractors are attending sites and completing works within agreed timeframes
  • Support remote sites with contractor coordination, access arrangements, and work progression
  • Review quotes, monitor job progress, and track service delivery performance
  • Assist with asset management, asset schedules, and technical reporting
  • Analyse service and asset data to identify trends and operational improvements
  • Support technical audits, compliance reviews, and contractor performance management
  • Work closely with multiple FM Managers across the contract to support operational delivery

Requirements

  • Engineering, technical, or time-served maintenance background
  • Experience within hard FM, estates, facilities maintenance, or building services
  • Strong contractor and supplier management experience
  • Understanding of reactive maintenance and PPM delivery
  • Experience using CAFM or asset management systems
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
