Shift Mechanical Engineer

Experienced Mechanical Engineer? Like the flexibility that working shifts gives you (4 on 4 off)? Our client, a leading building services and hard FM provider, is seeking a building services mechanical shift engineer to work at a static site in Smethwick.
Main duties:
- The successful candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance, and their primary task will be to perform works on mechanical systems; including ventilation, pumps, compressors, boilers, medical gases, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems.
- To undertake a proactive role in responding to reactive jobs to complete diagnostic, fault finding and repair to complex mechanical systems.
- Obtain Competent Person status following training and instruction for systems such as specialist ventilation system, complex water systems and medical gas installations.
The ideal candidate will hold formal qualifications (City and Guilds or NVQ) in either mechanical engineering or plumbing.
On offer is a permanent position, paying a salary of up to £38,000 per annum including shift allowance, life cover equivalent to 1.5 times salary, gym membership discounts and cycle to work scheme.
