Mechanical Shift Engineer – £46,000 – Hammersmith
Location: Hammersmith
Salary: £46,000 + Overtime
Hours: 4 on, 4 off – Days and Nights
We are working with a prestigious client who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer to oversee mechanical PPMs, reactive maintenance, and general building services for a large site in Hammersmith. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary of £46,000, clear career progression, generous overtime, and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Respond promptly to emergency callouts and resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain and repair HVAC plant, AHUs, FCUs, VAV, VRV systems, and water treatment equipment
- Work on general building maintenance tasks as required, including pumps, boilers, drainage, and plumbing
- Conduct fault-finding and repair on key mechanical systems
- Operate and manage BMS (Building Management System) and Head End Controls
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Ideally, 3 years of experience in building services maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to diagnose faults effectively
- Motivated to succeed and develop within the role
