A facilities maintenance and building contractor is looking for an experienced M&E Estimator for their growing Preconstruction function.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing competitive M&E tender packages up to £2m from first principles
  • Performing take-offs from drawings and producing detailed prime cost plans
  • Liaising with the Building stream to deliver joint bids
  • Engaging supply chain and analysing quotations for compliance
  • Supporting contract bid submissions against NSR schedules

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ M&E estimating experience with a reputable M&E contractor
  • Demonstrable experience costing tenders up to c£2m
  • Knowledge of MTC, JCT, and NEC forms of contract
  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (desirable)
  • Proficiency with estimating and take-off software packages
