We are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to work on a resident basis within a large scale commercial facility in Manchester. Within the lead maintenance electrician role you will be carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site. The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carry out or support works that are outside your core discipline.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant, controls, lighting etc.
  • PPM and reactive works
  • Oversee compliance checks
  • To complete PPM’s in line with SLA and KPI agreements
  • To provide H&S oversight
  • Undertake small works minor projects where required
  • To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
  • To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
  • Client liaison and reporting into the Site Manager

Skills & Background Required:

  • Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering (Level 3 (or Part 1 & 2)) 18th edition
  • Maintenance background in commercial sized buildings – PPM’s and reactive works
  • Experience of building services
  • Must be presentable and reliable
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
