The predicted salary is between 23.55 - 23.55 £ per hour.

We are recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Supervisor to work on a resident basis within a large scale commercial facility in Manchester. The role is a temporary position with a temp‑to‑perm option based on a salary of £48-49k basic (£23.55/hr). Working hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 08:00am – 16:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant, controls, lighting etc.
  • Supervise maintenance teams on PPM and reactive works.
  • Oversee sub‑contractors on site and ensure RAMS etc. are completed and logged.
  • Oversee compliance checks including tap temps, emergency lighting etc.
  • Complete PPMs in line with SLA and KPI agreements.
  • Provide H&S oversight.
  • Undertake small works and minor projects where required.
  • Respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service.
  • Support other members of the maintenance team with ad‑hoc tasks across all disciplines.
  • Client liaison and reporting into the Site Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering (Level 3 or Part 1 & 2, 18th edition).
  • Maintenance background in commercial sized buildings – PPMs and reactive works.
  • Experience of building services.
  • Experience in lead and supervisory roles.
  • Conversant with H&S, CDM, RAMS paperwork and record keeping.
  • Must be presentable and reliable.
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines.
