As a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and installing a range of commercial and industrial boiler systems across multiple client sites. You will carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown work, ensuring all heating systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out PPM on commercial and industrial boiler plant and associated heating systems
  • Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and completing effective repairs
  • Undertaking fault-finding across gas, electrical, and mechanical components
  • Completing boiler installations, commissioning, and decommissioning
  • Carrying out combustion analysis and ensuring optimum system performance
  • Completing gas safety inspections and maintaining accurate certification records
  • Identifying and repairing faults with pumps, valves, plate heat exchangers, flue systems, and control panels
  • Providing detailed service reports, recommendations, and updates to clients
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety in line with industry regulations
  • Managing vehicle stock, tools, and equipment effectively
  • Providing excellent customer service and professional technical advice

You will ideally have:

  • Current Commercial Gas Safe qualifications, including:
    • COCN1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety
    • ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework
    • CIGA1 – Commercial Indirect Fired Heating Appliances
    • CDGA1 – Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances
    • TPCP1 / TPCP1A – Testing & Purging of Pipework
    • CORT1 (desirable but not essential)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heating & Ventilation, Gas Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on commercial or industrial boiler systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience working across multiple boiler manufacturers
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good understanding of health & safety requirements
