We are currently recruiting for a skilled Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider at a prestigious commercial office site in the heart of Mayfair. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer looking to advance their career within a professional and supportive environment.
As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems on‑site. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, your duties will include both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault‑finding across the building.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
- Maintain and service lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems
- Fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical plant and equipment
- Attend and resolve emergency callouts in line with KPIs and SLAs
- Carry out minor fabric and basic mechanical tasks where required
- Manage tools, materials, and parts required for maintenance activities
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure work quality and compliance
- Support the Lead Engineer and Account Manager with statutory compliance
- Ensure maintenance schedules and operational targets are consistently met
Requirements
- Recognised City & Guilds Electrical Qualification (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
- Proven experience in electrical building maintenance within commercial environments
- Prior experience in a shift-based engineering role
- Willingness to join a 1-in-4 call‑out rota
- Strong fault‑finding skills and technical knowledge
