Lead M&E Engineer – £50,000 | Paddington

Location: Paddington
Salary: £50,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a prestigious commercial contract based in Paddington. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality PPM and reactive maintenance across a flagship site, while also taking responsibility for general building services and subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PPM and reactive electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise and coordinate sub-contractors working on-site.
  • Respond to client work requests and emergency callouts.
  • Carry out electrical works: lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS, and general building systems.
  • Support basic fabric tasks: toilets, drainage, tiling, sinks.
  • Fault finding and maintenance on systems such as AHUs, FCUs, UPS, generators, and LV systems.
  • Manage and monitor BMS head-end systems and HVAC plant.
  • Handle VRV/VAV systems, water treatment, ballast replacements, and lamping.
  • Conduct PAT testing and ensure all compliance tasks are completed.

Requirements:

  • Electrically qualified (City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building services or a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • A motivated, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and progress.
  • Good understanding of health and safety standards.
