We are recruiting for a maintenance handyperson to join a small team working at a static site in Shrewsbury. This position is working from 1pm to 9pm, Monday – Friday, with no on-call requirement for this role.

Main Duties for this role:

  • Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within set timescales
  • Carrying out maintenance on floors, doors, ceilings, wall coverings, basic plumbing, and carpentry, painting and decorating
  • Undertaking minor project works when required
  • Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
  • Liaising with client representatives
  • Using mobile devices to log works and update tasks
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Contract Manager

Person specification for this role:

  • The ideal candidate should have proven experience in maintenance work and be able to turn their hand to most aspects of D.I.Y.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • The ability to read technical drawings
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence is also required

On offer is a permanent position paying a basic salary of £30,000 per annum, with 25 days annual leave plus stats.
