We are recruiting for a maintenance handyperson to join a small team working at a static site in Shrewsbury. This position is working from 1pm to 9pm, Monday – Friday, with no on-call requirement for this role.
Main Duties for this role:
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within set timescales
- Carrying out maintenance on floors, doors, ceilings, wall coverings, basic plumbing, and carpentry, painting and decorating
- Undertaking minor project works when required
- Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
- Liaising with client representatives
- Using mobile devices to log works and update tasks
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Contract Manager
Person specification for this role:
- The ideal candidate should have proven experience in maintenance work and be able to turn their hand to most aspects of D.I.Y.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- The ability to read technical drawings
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence is also required
