PRS is looking for experienced Handyman / Porter operatives to support our prestigious clients across commercial buildings and facilities. The successful candidate will provide essential porterage, event support and general building maintenance assistance, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out porterage duties across the building.
- Move furniture, equipment and supplies for events and day-to-day operations.
- Set up, rearrange and reset rooms for meetings and events.
- Support housekeeping activities and maintain clean, safe and presentable areas.
- Assist with rigging and installing external banners and signage.
- Support the Building Fabric team with basic maintenance, repairs and general handyman tasks.
- Assist with stock movement, deliveries, storage and inventory tasks.
- Carry out basic equipment checks and report faults or defects promptly.
- Support maintenance teams with planned and reactive maintenance activities when required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and building users.
- Use basic Microsoft Office applications for routine administrative and reporting tasks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Handyman, Porter, Facilities Assistant or similar role.
- Practical experience of working within commercial buildings or facilities environments.
- Good understanding of general building maintenance and basic repairs.
- Ability to safely move furniture, equipment and supplies.
- Good manual handling awareness.
- Reliable, hardworking and professional approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of building operations.
