Job Purpose

The TUPE Advisor will provide specialist advice and hands‑on support for TUPE activity within Facilities Services. The role focuses on managing employee transfers associated with the mobilisation and demobilisation of facilities contracts, ensuring full compliance with TUPE regulations while supporting operational continuity and positive employee relations across soft and hard FM services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on TUPE regulations within Facilities Services environments
  • Manage TUPE transfers related to contract wins, losses, retenders, and service mobilisations
  • Support incoming and outgoing TUPE processes across services such as cleaning, security, catering, engineering, and maintenance
  • Lead due diligence activities, including requesting, reviewing, and validating Employee Liability Information (ELI)
  • Support consultation and communication processes with transferring employees and employee representatives
  • Prepare and review TUPE‑related documentation, including transfer letters, FAQs, presentations, and consultation materials
  • Work closely with Operations, Bid, Mobilisation, and HR teams to support seamless contract transitions
  • Identify and manage TUPE‑related risks, including cost, compliance, and employee relations issues
  • Liaise with legal advisors, clients, and incumbent providers where required
  • Support post‑transfer integration, harmonisation planning, and employee relations matters
  • Ensure accurate record‑keeping and documentation for all TUPE activity
  • Keep up to date with changes in TUPE legislation and employment law relevant to the Facilities Services sector

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience advising on and managing TUPE transfers within Facilities Management or a similar contract‑based environment
  • Strong knowledge of TUPE regulations and UK employment law
  • Experience supporting contract mobilisations and demobilisations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple TUPE projects in a fast‑paced, operational environment

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience in unionised or multi‑site environments
  • Experience across both soft and hard FM services
