An industry leader within Property & Real Estate, operating across both commercial and residential sectors in the UK and globally, has a requirement for an Engineering Services Manager to be based at one of their client accounts in West London. This position will be based at a prestigious mixed-use development in the Hammersmith / West London area, comprising commercial office space, retail, R&D labs, as well as a residential element.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and working with the larger Property team, the role will act as the conduit between senior stakeholders, tenants, and various FM service partners to deliver a best-in-class experience across the estate.
Minimum Requirements:- Candidates must be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally having served a full apprenticeship, with at least five years of managing Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC services within similar commercial environments as a contract or technical/engineering manager.
- Additional training such as IOSH, NEBOSH, ILM, or engineering body membership will be beneficial.
- Ensure compliance with all current legislation and recommended standards.
- Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to building managers and occupiers.
- Manage the permit to work system and liaise with building management regarding operational matters.
- Review occupier license applications and monitor tenant fit-out work.
- Conduct regular audits of maintenance programs and review call-out sheets.
- Prepare and manage engineering service charge budgets, including procurement and budget control.
- Analyze and manage all engineering data/reports and identify specialist consultant roles.
- Implement and manage the concept planned maintenance system.
- Prepare contract documentation and manage tendering procedures.
- Report any new developments or issues to the senior management team.
- Ensure new buildings are handed over in accordance with company guidelines.
- Conduct monthly utility recharges and report on energy usage.
- Ensure the property’s electronic security systems are fully operational.
- Adhere to the company’s pathway to net zero carbon.
