We are currently seeking an Electrician to carry out electrical tasks across planned preventative maintenance, projects, reactive and breakdown works across all electrical systems within the Meteorological office facility at Exeter.
Role Responsibilities:
- Installation and/or removal of electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, and equipment according to electrical codes and regulations.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, replacing faulty components and/or wiring.
- Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant building regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, tests, and repairs.
- All reactive tasks throughout the building are completed, being proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractor works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance/fixes, keeping them honest.
- Ensuring permits and RAMS are adhered to.
- Ensure the provision of a safe working environment.
