Electrical Maintenance Engineer | Romford, London

On-site | £43,925 + on-call pay + overtime + excellent benefits

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the safe operation and upkeep of essential systems within a large healthcare facility in Romford.

What’s on Offer:

• Salary – £43,925/year + on-call retainer
• Call-out + overtime at 1.5x
• Authorised Person bonus: up to £1,000/year
• 25 days annual leave
• 40 hrs/week (Monday–Friday), part of a rotating on-call & 7-day cover rota

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned, statutory, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems (e.g. fire alarms, access control, generators, lighting, nurse call systems).
• Act as an Authorised Person (LV) under healthcare electrical safety standards (HTM06).
• Manage fault-finding and repairs across critical building infrastructure.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Use a CAFM system to track and manage maintenance activity.
• Support emergency cover as part of the on-call team.

About You:

• Qualified electrical engineer with relevant building services experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work safely in live healthcare environments.
• Excellent communication and a proactive, safety-focused attitude.
