Day shift engineer to the on-site maintenance team at a high-end commercial office building near Cannon Street. This role offers a stable position with a modern corporate site, a mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance duties, and a favourable shift pattern.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems throughout the building.
- Faultfind on lighting, power, emergency lighting, and low-voltage distribution systems.
- Complete routine inspections of electrical plant and equipment.
- Assist with switching operations and electrical isolations where required.
- Monitor plant performance and respond to building faults.
- Maintain and inspect AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and other mechanical plant.
- Replace filters, belts and carry out general mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Work alongside specialist subcontractors and oversee works on site.
- Update maintenance records and complete job reports through the CAFM system.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Qualified electrically (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition qualified.
- Previous experience within commercial building maintenance.
- Comfortable carrying out basic mechanical maintenance alongside electrical duties.
- Strong fault-finding ability and a practical approach to maintenance.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with clients and contractors.
