Building Services Shift Leader

Our client is a global property and real estate organisation, with a number of high-profile accounts across corporate offices, healthcare, financial services and other sectors. Within their critical services division, they currently seek a multi-skilled (electrical-bias ideally) Shift Leader to work at a high-profile Banking organisation’s UK Headquarter building close to Liverpool Street, London.
Working on a 24/7 “continental” shift pattern, the role will involve taking responsibility for planned and reactive duties across mechanical, electrical and general HVAC / Building Services for the building and managing a small team.
Guideline salary for this position is £60k basic salary, and on top of this is a shift allowance of £1,500. In time and subject to sign off from divisional authorising engineer, there will also be an annual bonus for passing and being approved for AP status.
Due to the critical nature of the site (Financial Services / Trading Floors), the client seeks strong multi-skilled engineers who can combine a technical mindset with a customer-focused approach. Candidates must be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering (ideally through a full apprenticeship), with at least five years of relevant experience within a similar M&E / building services maintenance role within a similar corporate environment, for example, a Bank / Global Firms HQ.
Along with core qualifications, a current or previous HV / LV AP status is preferred. Other desirable qualifications include L8, F-Gas, 2391, IOSH/NEBOSH, etc.

This is a highly critical building, where strong technical experience is needed as well as good communication skills to liaise with both management, on-site tenants as well as the direct reports as part of the shift team.
