We’re looking for a Plumbing/Mechanical Engineer to work as part of a mobile maintenance team looking after sites all in the Birmingham area. This is a hands-on role, perfect for an engineer who can take ownership of both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring mechanical plant equipment operates at peak performance.
Main Duties:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial and corporate buildings.
- Maintain and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated components including pumps, valves and motors.
- First line support for maintenance and repair of Air Handling Units (AHU’s).
- Plumbing maintenance such as leaks, taps, flushing of hot water systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in plumbing or mechanical engineering.
- Understanding of HVAC systems and general building services.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
What’s On Offer:
- Basic salary of up to £39,000 per annum.
- Working Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Call out 1 in 8.
- £100 call out payment and minimum 4 hours paid at o/t if called out.
- 25 days annual leave plus stats.
- Matched pension contributions up to 8%.
