Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide administrative support and assistance to PRS Foundation’s CEO and Senior Team and ensure the smooth running of the office and its grant-making activities.
This vacancy builds on a previous Administrator position, bolstering the role to meet the strategic needs of the CEO and Senior Management Team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Administrator & Executive Assistant, with a passion for music being created in the UK.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in an administrative and/ or executive assistant role, with strong attention to detail and communication skills. We are looking for someone who thrives on taking initiative and is excited to work in a small team of music lovers. This vital role enables the smooth running of the office, supporting the CEO, Senior Management Team and organisational processes, playing an integral role in the Foundation’s impactful work supporting talented music creators, organisations and music industry professionals.
EXPERIENCE
You will have:
- Proven organisational, IT and communication skills, and in a similar or related environment
- Experience of diary management, minute-taking and database management
- More than one year’s experience of working in a busy environment
- A broad and up-to date knowledge of new music and the challenges that music creators are facing in the current climate
- Awareness of PRS Foundation’s role within the music industry
- Knowledge of the music sector and talent development
- Some experience of assisting with events e.g. launches, showcases, receptions
- Understanding of equal opportunities practice
Skills:
- High level office administration
- Fluent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work methodically and consistently on detailed tasks
- Prioritisation and attention to detail when under pressure of deadlines and conflicting demands
- Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Database Management, and web-based communications
