Working as part of the Analytics Team, you will be responsible for identifying, owning and generating relevant, accurate and valuable business insights for internal and external PRS for Music customers. You will utilise a range of analytical methods and tools to support the business in making more timely and better-informed business decisions, and achieve their strategic goals. The Analytics team support evidence-based decision making across PRS for Music, as well as helping our members understand trends and factors that influence the use of their works. We develop key reporting, working to utilise the latest technology to enhance our analytical capabilities. In the role, you’ll be able to draw on a knowledgeable team, working with your colleagues to solve problems in an environment where it’s ok to experiment and bring new ideas to the table in the interest of finding new solutions and raising the standard across the team.
Responsibilities:
- Translating business use cases into simple to consume business insights through requirements gathering, data analysis & modelling, and data visualisation.
- Prepare and present analytical findings and recommendations for action to relevant business areas as appropriate, including the production of high-quality data commentary to highlight key trends as required.
- Collaborate with the Data Services team and business stakeholders to actively explore opportunities to deliver added business value through advanced analytics and the support of data products.
- Actively participate and contribute to help create an enterprise-wide approach to delivering analytics across the PRS for Music organisation through best practice of tools, methods and data governance.
About You
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience as a data analyst or similar related role.
- Experience in using SQL and relational databases for both querying and transformation.
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Experience using coding languages such as Python.
- Good stakeholder management with the ability to communicate at all management levels.
- Ability to own and manage a varied workload of both ad hoc and project related deliverables with a passion for learning and proactively seeking out new ways of doing things.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to recognise the relationship between your own work and the objectives of the team and wider business.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience of working within an agile delivery framework.
- Knowledge of PRS for Music, Performance Rights Organisations, and/or the music industry.
