This role is responsible for leading a team of Analysts, with oversight of analysis and insight produced for internal and external customers of PRS, setting high standards and embedding best practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on key analytics and data workstreams, addressing complexity, engaging with customers and developing new services to meet the evolving needs of our customers and support the strategic goals of the organisation.
- Accountable for analytics production and presentation, sharing and embedding best practice and the best use of membership, distribution and licensee data throughout the organisation.
- Act as a data steward for member data, influencing organization-wide data governance activity to ensure best practice is followed.
- Optimise existing insight services and products, and find new data opportunities for internal and external audiences, utilising industry advancements in data tools and technology.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to develop and implement an analytics strategy and roadmap to support business requirements.
- Ensure all work delivered by the Data Analysts is accurate, informative, on time and presented to the highest standards.
- Own and manage all regular and key updates supplied by the team to all our customers, ensuring deliverables are accurate and delivered to schedule.
- Enable the business to make data decisions that impact our members service, via both proactive and reactive insight and analysis projects, initiatives and work requests.
- Advise and influence senior leadership on insights, opportunities, risks and emerging trends in data and how this applies to our membership (both publishers and writers).
- Provide line management, coaching and mentoring to the team, leading by example.
About you:
- Educated to degree standard, preferably in numerical subject (essential).
- Expert at working with large and complex data sets, including relational databases (essential).
- Familiar with data science/statistical capabilities, tools and methodologies (essential).
- Advanced MS Excel/Word/Power Point skills (essential).
- Advanced MS Power Query and Power BI skills (essential).
- Basic knowledge of SQL (essential).
- Understanding of Agile product delivery (essential).
- Excellent knowledge of PRS for Music policies and databases (highly desirable).
- A good knowledge of understanding of rights flow (performing and mechanical), music publishing and wider industry (desirable).
- Python or similar coding language (desirable).

Our interview process for this role is simple: First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams. Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week.
