We are seeking a Data Quality Lead who will be playing a key role in the development, implementation and oversight of end to end Data Management at PRS for Music. Data is one of PRS’s greatest assets. As Data Quality Lead, you will be the in-house expert, and as such highly skilled at ensuring our data is well managed, fit for purpose, and delivering maximum value.
You will be expected to partner with business and technology teams, with Data Owners, stewards and other stakeholders to embed best practice within the organization. You will be responsible for establishing and implementing an effective Data Quality framework and operating model across the organisation, ensuring that good data quality is at the heart of our critical systems and business processes. Effective Data Governance & Data Quality controls are core parts of PRS’s strategic objectives and as such, the Data Quality Lead has an important role in ensuring data quality and its effective measurement, while promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
The Data Quality Lead is expected to be a data quality subject matter expert who is able to support the business, data and technology teams with practical data quality guidance and best practice.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Head of Data Governance to develop and implement an effective Data Quality Framework and operating model, reviewing progress and instigating improvements to achieve best practice within PRS.
- Partnering with Data Owners and Stewards to develop data quality standards and processes as appropriate.
- Establishing and enforcing data quality policies and procedures.
- Collaborating closely with the business and Reporting & Analytics teams to develop and maintain data quality metrics and KPIs.
- Standardising data quality monitoring across critical systems and processes.
- Driving and supporting initiatives to address data quality concerns to ensure compliance with data quality standards.
- Implementing and managing data quality tools and technologies.
About you
- A bachelor's degree, ideally in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Solid previous experience in a data quality role.
- CDMP or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Highly knowledgeable in data quality, data management, data governance.
- Demonstrable experience in the design and successful delivery of Data Quality frameworks, technologies and operating models.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Be a self-starter with good planning and time management skills who can work independently but also contribute as a team member within the Governance and wider Data Team working collaboratively, sharing ideas and finding solutions.
- Ideally an outline knowledge of related disciplines such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data architecture.

The Process
First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams. Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub. We use competency-based questions within our interviews. This allows you to provide examples of situations where you have had to demonstrate the required skills relevant to the role you are applying for. Location
We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week. To ensure the health and safety of all our employees, if you wish to work from home for more than 2.5 days per week, we will conduct a quick and easy remote-working assessment.
