Prozomix Limited is a UK-based company specialising in the discovery and manufacturing of enzymes. Located in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, Prozomix serves clients worldwide and provides innovative, sustainable, and custom-engineered enzyme solutions from its metagenomics platform.
These are full-time, on-site roles located in Haltwhistle, Northumberland. The Postdoctoral Researcher will actively engage in laboratory-based research projects, design and execute experiments, and analyse scientific data. Responsibilities also include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (internally and also with external groups, both academic and industrial), contributing to publications and presentations, and mentoring junior team members.
Specifically, the roles will involve the discovery, analysis and application of new novel metagenomic enzymes within numerous grant and commercial funded projects (Including EU Horizon and Innovate UK funded projects).
Qualifications
- Strong Laboratory Skills, including hands-on experience with experimental design and execution.
- Proven expertise in Research and Data Analysis with the ability to interpret and present scientific results effectively.
- Solid foundation in biochemistry or similar topic.
- PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
