Key Responsibilities:
- Help Tencent games (such as “PUBG” and “Honor of Kings”) complete localization from the Source Language to the Target Language, using Weloc, X-bench, Crowdin, Trados, and other required tools.
- The various work tasks include but are not limited to translation, proofreading, editing, image/video inspection, testing games, Translation Quality Evaluation (TQE), Language Quality Assurance (LQA), and continuous game optimization according to the habits and preferences of users who are the native speakers of the target language.
Qualifications:
- Must be a native speaker of the target language.
- Must have worked for game localization before and be proficient in translation and proofreading.
- Work efficiently and punctually with high quality.
- The Source Language is fluent enough to collaborate with the international Tencent team.
- Rich experiences in LQA and user-oriented game localization are a plus.
Scheduling & Work Setting:
It is REMOTE. Need to work around the schedule of the Tencent team between about AM to 9 PM (China Standard Time). You can work as a part-time or full-time. Full-time: 5 workdays per week, 8 hours per workday.
Income:
The monthly salary of a highly experienced professional and rare language expert for Tencent game localization can reach up to $0 (approximately $/hour). Some excellent language experts who have cooperated with Tencent for a long time can earn more than $0. For a full-time, Overtime Pay is eligible. After long-term and satisfactory work for Tencent, there will be a chance of an incremental salary.
NOW it is IMPOSSIBLE to decide or estimate your compensation because your (1) work time for Tencent, (2) work experience, (3) Tencent typewritten test result, and (4) Tencent interview evaluations impact the determination of your salary package or hourly rates profoundly.
Two settlement currencies are available: (1) RMB via Alipay and bank card, or (2) US dollars via Paypal (<$) or bank card (≥$). The settlement is only made at the end of each month, and the relevant details can be viewed on our self-developed information management platform, regardless of full-time or part-time.
