ISL is an established, UK-based course provider for interpreting/translation qualifications (Level 3/Level 6/Level 7). As part of these qualifications, learners are required to undergo remote practical assessments in the form of simulated role-plays and/or undertake written translation assessments.
The Language Specialist role involves assessing a learner’s performance during a role play and/or a written translation. This role is on a freelance basis. You would be required to provide written feedback against a set of skills criteria. All the paperwork will be provided, and full training will also be provided.
We currently require Examiners who have an interpreting and translation qualification to assess oral and written exams for the above-mentioned language combinations. We are looking for someone who has a relevant qualification to be able to assess Level 3 learners and Level 6 learners (equivalent or higher).
If you are interested in applying for the role, please could you forward us a copy of your CV, hourly rate and contact number so that we can discuss this further.
Additional requirements: Applicants must hold a minimum of a Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting to be considered for this role. In addition, the successful applicant will be fluent in spoken and written English and will respect deadlines.
