Job description: Role:
We are looking to form a team of freelance transcreators and proofreaders for our new client, a global leader in dermatological beauty and professional haircare products. In this role, you will ensure the highest quality of localised e-commerce marketing copy across various platforms and channels while maintaining the established tone of voice for our client’s world-class brands and franchises. As part of our network of freelancers, you will be responsible for translating, reviewing, and ensuring consistency in all copy to uphold the tone and messaging across different touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Translating (using MT output as a base) and/or proofreading e-commerce marketing copy, including product description pages, banners, and short video content.
Implementing local keywords and other client references into translations.
Implementing feedback.
Ensuring consistency with approved translations (translation memory and glossaries).
Adhering to grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.
Applying brand writing guidelines effectively.
Key Qualifications:
Based in Europe and a native speaker of the target language.
Experience and/or passion for beauty, skincare, cosmetics, and haircare.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong awareness of cultural and linguistic nuances specific to your market.
Proven experience in translation, proofreading, or localisation in e-commerce from English into the target language.
Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in the target language.
Ability to adapt and refine content to align with brand tone and guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.
