Overview

Salary: £13.00-£18.00 per hour, depending on shifts and experience.

Working Hours: Flexible.

Responsibilities

You will work as part of a team to maintain and deliver a high standard of resident care. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and effectively assisting in the day-to-day running of all prescribed resident care packages.
  • Assisting in the meeting of all residents’ basic care needs.
  • Working under the supervision of qualified nursing staff at a high level.
  • Providing advance notice and short‑notice cover in various healthcare settings.
  • Traveling to varying work locations during unsocial hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential skills and abilities:

  • Use own initiative, plan and prioritise work, and state patient care needs.
  • Work without direct supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Motivated to learn, maintain a mature and responsible attitude.

Knowledge:

  • Care giving and empathy towards patients with care needs.

Training and education:

  • Evidence of relevant statutory and mandatory training: Manual Handling, First Aid, Basic Life Support, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene/Infection Control, Nutrition and Hydration.

Experience:

  • Recent experience caring for patients.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in the care sector within the UK.

Other requirements:

  • Vaccination status.
  • Ability to travel during unsocial hours.

Desirable:

  • UK driving licence.
