Summary

Salary: £13.00-£18.00 depending on shifts and experience.

Working Hours: Flexible

Start Date: Immediate Start – Subject to successful application.

We are looking for experienced, confident and reliable Healthcare Assistants. You will need good communication skills and the ability to work in a variety of healthcare settings providing advanced notice and short‑notice cover.

As a member of a caring team you will maintain and deliver a high standard of resident care, implementing and assisting in the day‑to‑day running of all prescribed resident care packages and ensuring all basic care needs are met. You will work under the supervision of qualified nursing staff to deliver high‑quality care.

Essential skills required for Healthcare Assistants

• Use own initiative; plan and prioritise patient care needs.
• Work independently and within a team.
• Good communication skills, motivation to learn, mature and responsible attitude.
• Knowledge of caring for patients and empathy for people with care needs.

Essential Training / Education

• Manual Handling, First Aid, Basic Life Support, Health & Safety.
• Food Hygiene/Infection Control, Nutrition and Hydration.
• Evidence of relevant statutory and mandatory training.

Experience

• Recent experience caring for patients.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in the UK care sector.

Other Requirements

• Ability to travel to varying work locations during unsocial hours.
• Undergo an enhanced DBS check or provide evidence of an online DBS check.
• Provide two professional references.
• Complete free online training if you do not hold valid training certificates.
