Proximo Legal Services is the UK’s leading provider of specialist and adapted replacement vehicles, dedicated to keeping people on the move. We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Claims Handler to join our Chester Head Office. As part of our liability admitted team, you will manage a caseload of files where liability has been formally admitted. This is a crucial role within the team, helping to drive cases forward towards resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • File Management: Handle files by obtaining medical reports, liaising with clients, sharing reports, and working towards settlements or issuing cases in line with company expectations.
  • Client Management: Set and manage client expectations around case settlements.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, addressing their queries and providing information throughout the process.
  • Portal Management: Utilise our in-house case management system (Proclaim) to liaise with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.

What are we looking for?

  • A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience within the Personal Injury sector, including experience with the OIC and MOJ Portals.
  • Confidence in managing Part-8 litigated files and a proactive approach to negotiation.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple cases at once.
  • The ability to learn and apply new skills as required.
